Questions for the mommas out there

A couple questions:

1. So, I got the baby's bedding and it came with bed skirt, crib sheet, quilt, bumpers. AND, I am having a hard time finding other things that go with it without spending a fortune or having it clash. I am wondering what I should do about a mobile... Do I NEED to have one? Can I live without one? What do you think? I did register for a little frog that illuminates stars, etc. on the ceiling AND a sound machine... Will those things do the job? Let me know.

2. I registered for a diaper pail that doesn't need any special bags, BUT it only is available online. Should I switch to the other one that is available IN Target stores (that needs special bags) so that it's easier for someone to purchase? What do you think? I really don't care which one I get, but it may be easier for someone if it's in stores. Advice on that?

3. Do I need a separate hamper? I am guessing YES just because I don't know if I want pukey stuff on MY dirty clothes... Okay, so that did not make sense because most likely, my babe will pukey on me AND my clothes. But, really, do I need a separate hamper? What do you think?

4. How many changing pad covers and crib sheets do I need? I have one of each now, but I am guessing that I may need more of both of these items. Do I?

If I think of more, I'll def. ask all you readers out there. Just email me with your responses if you feel led to do so. :) It would be helpful to this soon-to-be mommy. AHHHHH! :):)

  1. The mobile- Izzie NEVER cared for it, but I know that some kids do like to look at it. Since babies sleep with their head to the side (which is a natural reaction to always turn it to one side when they are on their back) I don't think would need it as they don't look UP much. His room is going to fill quicker than you think, I wouldn't stress too much about adding more to it, the mobile you would have to take down too once he can roll over and sit up since he might try to grab it and then choke ect.

Diaper Pail- I did get sick of spending extra $ for the diaper genie bags, but they did lock the smell quite well and have scented bags. I think this is a personal preference.

Hamper- Yes, you will need one. You'll be doing much more laundry a- because it's fun to change them in the beginning and dress them up cute and b- because they puke/poop and pee all the time and dirty their stuff (Hence the Oxy-Clean!!)

Changing pads and crib sheets- I would say at least three. That way if you have to change one in the middle of the night you still have a back up to get you through until you get the first one washed in case that one gets dirty the next morning or whatever.
