Brother Love

Berkley wanted to share his bed with his brother Deagan. :) How sweet! He fit just perfectly.
We'll see if they play this nicely when they are older!

Jungle GYM play time

Deagan has some really bright eyed moments during the day and I found that he loves looking at the bright colors of his jungle gym. He can sit and play for an hour and usually makes grunting noises and bats at the hanging toys (which startle him at times).

Trying to lift my head!

Bath Time!

Deagan is starting to actually like bath time. He obviously doesn't like getting cold, but other than that, he is learning to love cleanliness. :)
After his first bath at home.

Daddy is a big help and does most of the washing while mommy cuddles after and gets me comfy in some pjs.

Speaking SPARTY...

So, the Spartans beat the Wolverines for the fourth year in a row. Aunt Lydia really liked this victory. Lee did not. So, to get Deagan on the "correct" path in life, Auntie decided to read the SPARTY article in the Holland Sentinel to him. He really liked it. :)

Deagan's Newborn Pics

Here is a preview of Deagan's newborn pics that were taken yesterday. He did great being naked and all, but did have one blowout on Tracy's blanket and onto her canvas - he was butt up, so #2 shot through the air. :) haha It sure was funny!

How Deagan's Already Changing

Deagan was born with dark hair and big, dark blue eyes. He is already changing - his hair is lightening up and he seems to be looking like a bigger boy/infant than when he was born. If you saw baby pictures of Lee and I, you would see how he has features of both of us.

Just minutes old.

After some "lunch" with a full tummy.

First morning at home in the swing. Look at those frog legs!

Giving mommy faces. SO dramatic. I wonder where he got that from...

After his first bath. :) He was a trooper.

Just napping with daddy.

More pics to come. :)

Deagan's Visitors :)

We have such a supportive family and friends. :) Deagan was welcomed by family the night of his arrival (minus my Dad since he was hunting).

We also enjoyed company from many others. It's amazing how good it feels to have such supportive people surrounding you. Lee and I feel the love and are so thankful for every kind word, prayer sent, and thoughtful gesture.

Welcome Deagan Levi...

...weighing 7lbs. 6oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. :) He is one little bundle of joy. He came early, October 2, but his arrival was perfect.

He's here! Well, he's been here for over a week now, but with hospital stay, the time needed for uploading pics, and getting adjusted to not much sleep, I haven't had the chance to update the blog.

Last week Sunday afternoon, Lyd and mom called to see if I wanted to go apple picking. Usually this is a family thing, but with Dad being gone in Canada, we decided to go ourselves. Lee had a headache (which could have just been a cop out because the Lions were on OR because it was me, mom, and Lyd going - his favorite people :)). While apple picking, I felt like I was wetting myself. An unusual thing, but when pregnant, anything can happen. Sometimes I felt I had to go #1 so badly and only one ounce would come out, so with this "leaking" in my pants, I wasn't too concerned, just felt awkward. Lydia laughed at me and mom told me not to worry. We finally made it home with a blanket on the seat to protect the car from being soaked and Lee was ready to head to the hospital. I said, "Wait a minute. Let's call the doctor first...". We did and they told us to come in. I had no contractions until we arrived and things progressed rather quickly. I got admitted at 7pm and had Deagan at 10pm. I was dialated to a 5 when I got there at 7pm and was dialated to an 8 by 8pm. I was feeling awful contractions, but once that epidural hit, I felt great. :) It was magical... really. Pushing was easy and he came quickly.

Deagan is perfect. I may be biased, but he is just the perfect size (smaller than we assumed, but just right for us), has lots of hair, Lee and my features, and is just a great cuddle bug. We love him and can't get enough of him.

Here are some pictures (a few of the 150+ pictures that we already took of this munchkin):
