9-month Check-Up

Deagan and I visited the doctor today. He did not have any shots, which makes us both feel better. We did find out that he is a growing and HEALTHY little guy. :) Head: 18 3/4 (97%) Height: 29 inches (72%) Weight: 24 lbs 9.5oz (97%) His weight caught up with his height and even passed it!! Haha I am guessing his height will end up being more proportionate with his weight eventually. :) We hope. Haha

The 4th of July at the Cottage

We spent Wednesday through Sunday up at the cottage to have a little family time. It was extremely hot, but did our best to stay cool (which does not mean sit inside the cottage all day). Deagan loves the water, so we spent time in his little boat with water in it, we went in the lake, and we went for pontoon rides to get a breeze and fantasize that we own a cottage on the lake. :) It was a good weekend.

Feeling very relaxed in my life jacket....

...not for very long...

We spent a day in Pentwater.

We also went to Ludington and walked the pier, as well as got ice cream. :)

9 Months Already!

Deagan "turned" 9 months old on July 2, 2012. He is becoming more independent as he tries to move, but doesn't get very far. He rolls a lot, but doesn't crawl. He tends to lean as he grabs his toys and ends up falling onto his tummy. He also likes to strengthen those chubby legs by standing by the couch and by his tall toys. He is such a big boy already and LOVES to talk. He says "ma ma ma ma", but not really in reference to me yet. He also likes to look at nature and trees moving like his grandpas.

We sure love him!

Deagan "turned" 9 months old on July 2, 2012. He is not quite crawling yet, but rolls a lot and leans to get stuff. He rolls to his stomach all the time, but doesn't quite move forward... He also is strengthening those leg muscles by standing by the couch and standing by his tall toys. He likes to keep momma on her toes...

First Camping Trip!

Each year, we go on TWO camping trips - one with Holland Christian couple friends and one with Zeeland couple friends. The first one took place at the end of June at Yankee Springs Campground. The weather was WARM, but really enjoyable since it cooled down at night. In the past, Lee and I tented it, but after some rain last summer, Lee immediately sold it. So, this year we were able to borrow cousin Ranae's pop-up. It does not have air conditioning (Lee's only requirement), but it suits us just fine. Deagan enjoyed the kids - watching them all day long. He slept really well. He also LOVED the water; and at Yankee Springs, the water stays shallow for a long time, so we were able to "swim" all over.

The Months Just Pass Us By...

This is SO true. Here are some 7 month AND 8 month TIE pictures.

7 months - May 2, 2012

8 months - June 2, 2012
Personality is totally coming out... What a goof.

He also LOVES to stand. He needs support, but LOVES it.

Future GVSU Football Player?!?

Look who's sporting some GVSU. :) (Thanks to cousin Lynn and Jessica)

Cottage Time

Lee's parents have a cottage up north in Custer, MI on a lake. It is near Ludington, so when we are up there, we trek into Ludington and walk the beach, shop :), stuff like that. Each year, since I have been dating Lee, my family is invited up to the cottage over Memorial Day weekend.

Over this long weekend, Deagan got spoiled by both sets of grandparents, aunties, and Uncle Andy (Teresa's husband). He surely loved the weekend as did we. :)

Tulip Time 2012

Deagan enjoyed his first Dutch Dance costume (that was borrowed) and he did great while putting on all the layers. We took pictures in mid-April because that is when the tulips were in bloom, so he is about 6 1/2 months here. Please note that Deagan is not this little anymore AND he does not sit contently like this anymore. But ENJOY! :)

Deagan also got to enjoy his FIRST Tulip Time parade with Auntie, "Auntie" Sara, and "Cousin" Aidan. It was a very sunshiny day and Deagan did great. He even drifted off to sleep during the parade/loud bands believe it or not. We LOVED the bonding with cousin Aidan. :)

It was hilarious because we couldn't get both boys to look at us at the same time. One would look and the other wouldn't. Then it would switch. Funnies! :)

LONG Overdue...

So... I was FINALLY able to figure out what was wrong with my camera... I haven't been able to upload pictures since the beginning of May... BUT, with my sister's help and her friend, Corey, my updating can begin again!!! Yay!!!
