One Quick Thing...
I totally wish I could just buy all of etsy.com. AMAZINGLY cute baby/kid stuff! I just can't stand it - I want to buy it all! :)
Questions for the mommas out there
A couple questions:
1. So, I got the baby's bedding and it came with bed skirt, crib sheet, quilt, bumpers. AND, I am having a hard time finding other things that go with it without spending a fortune or having it clash. I am wondering what I should do about a mobile... Do I NEED to have one? Can I live without one? What do you think? I did register for a little frog that illuminates stars, etc. on the ceiling AND a sound machine... Will those things do the job? Let me know.
2. I registered for a diaper pail that doesn't need any special bags, BUT it only is available online. Should I switch to the other one that is available IN Target stores (that needs special bags) so that it's easier for someone to purchase? What do you think? I really don't care which one I get, but it may be easier for someone if it's in stores. Advice on that?
3. Do I need a separate hamper? I am guessing YES just because I don't know if I want pukey stuff on MY dirty clothes... Okay, so that did not make sense because most likely, my babe will pukey on me AND my clothes. But, really, do I need a separate hamper? What do you think?
4. How many changing pad covers and crib sheets do I need? I have one of each now, but I am guessing that I may need more of both of these items. Do I?
If I think of more, I'll def. ask all you readers out there. Just email me with your responses if you feel led to do so. :) It would be helpful to this soon-to-be mommy. AHHHHH! :):)

Project Progress
So... I may have asked my husband to make me a ladder book shelf for the baby's room a while ago.... and since he works in the summer (and I don't), he doesn't get very much extra time to work on projects, especially the ones that I want him to complete. He likes to get the things done that HE wants done... BUT, when I was gone somewhere relaxing on the beach up north, he made the shelf! Then, I had to stain it (so it when it was sanded down - or antiqued - it would have a darker underneath finish) and paint it. Then, my mom came over to sand it down. Here are a few pics that show off my husband's handiness :), my mad painting skills :), and my mom's amazing sanding work :). I am super excited to put the shelf to work - I put a few cute knick knacks on it, some books (Dr. Seuss books are from Cousin Laura), and a basket for toys. :) YAY! So excited that it's done!
T - 8 weeks! (aka 32 weeks)
Can you believe it?!?! (Maybe I say this in every post! hah) BUT, this being a mom thing is really starting to hit home. Baby Borst is kicking and squirming at every chance he gets lately. It's crazy. Lee and I were in TC last weekend with couple friends and I had him touch my belly because I felt kicking. Immediately when Lee felt a kick, he yanked his hand away and said, "Oh my gosh! That kick was so big!" It's so great for him to experience the things that I feel all the time. Again... it's crazy.
Here's a 32 weeks pic (even though it was taken at 32 1/2 weeks :)) I got behind.

Relaxing...
At 31 weeks, I am beginning to feel uncomfortable in some ways. I am not complaining (yet) because I know that as my belly gets bigger with this 10 lb. baby, I will start to really struggle with some things. So, to pamper myself, I headed out to the Wiersema/Koning cottage on Big Star Lake for a couple days. It was PERFECT weather and such a relaxing time. Only one more outing - to Traverse City this weekend, and I am done vacationing and looking ahead to the school year! AND baby's arrival. Ahhhh - I can't belive I'll be a parent so soon! Gosh, my life is an adventure...

Projects In Progress
It seems that we are slow moving when it comes to projects this year/summer. Maybe it's because we have been so busy, especially on weekends. Maybe it's because we have projects other than just baby stuff... I wish it was all for baby. :)
Lee surprised me last week by building the ladder book shelf that I have had my eye on in the Pottery Barn magazine. It is not painted yet - that's my job, but it is built and that is amazing progress for this working man. :)

I also purchased hardware for the changing table. :) Now, we are just waiting on a changing pad AND a baby. :)

30 weeks... a little late
So... last week, I was on a luxurious vacation in White Cloud... Well, I take the "luxurious" part out. It was really warm with no air conditioning, but we stayed in a cottage right on the beach of Diamond Lake, like we, Browers, do every year. I have lots of pics to share, but for the moment, here is my 30 week shot. :) (taken by Cousin Claire)

A Gift from "Cousin" Aidan!
Today, a package came in the mail! It was such a suprise because it was stuffed in the mailbox and usually packages are at the front door. I opened it, and it was a super cute little onsie for Baby Borst. :) Aidan went on vacation last week and picked it out for baby. He will be a great playmate! :)
This past week, I happened to run across a changing pad cover on etsy.com that went great with the nursery. I also received that in the mail this week! What a great week for new, fun baby stuff! :) Getting SUPER pumped! Here's the pic of it all folded up, but once the changing table is set to go, I'll post a pic of the completed project.

LOVE it. :)
Oh, the joys of dreams!
The past weeks have been filled with dreams. I have always been a dreamer, but in the past, my dreams have consisted of amazing things - like vacations, kind words, fun with friends, etc. BUT lately, these dreams have consisted of Lee flirting with other women! haha I ALWAYS wake up and am relieved to know he is snoring next to me. :) Lee is not really that big of a flirter, that's partially why I married him - who wants to worry about a flirty husband?!? - but in these dreams, he flirts with college chicks usually, and most of the time they happen to be brunettes (and he tends to like blondes better)! Every time I wake up in the morning and tell him that I had a bad dream, he asks if it was about him and Carrie Underwood. Gosh, one of these days, I will have that nightmare. At least she's cute, right?!? haha
